Himalayan yew, is a species of yew, native to the Himalayan parts of south-east Asia, mainly Nepal. It is a renowned natural source of Taxol (10-De Acetyl Baccatin or 10 DAB III), precursor and a potent chemotherapy drug used to treat cancer, such as Pacitaxel.
